As energy consumption will continue to increase in the years to come, efficient power generation will be a vital component of reliable, eco-friendly energy systems. When there operating efficiency is boosted, gas-fired power panels will make significant impact in reducing CO2 emissions. In the combined cycle process, exhaust heat from the gas turbine is used to generate steam, which then drives a steam turbine, generating additional electricity and increasing efficiency beyond 60 % in our latest generation plants. Pre-designed modules reduce project lead times and provide an optimal balance between capital cost, plant performance, and plant operations and maintenance.

 

It combines the power of two thermodynamic processes in efficient fashion. A gas turbine together with a steam turbine to generate electricity. The hot exhaust gas from the gas turbine is captured in a type of boiler called a Heat Recovery Steam Generator and reused to boil water into steam, thereby driving the steam turbine to generate additional electricity. The combination of the two thermal processes achieves greater efficiency than would be possible independently. Standby power will be supplied by the adjacent LPS site which is an Open-Cycle Gas Turbine (OCGT) power plant in which a gas turbine engine generates electricity.
